In the past, even minor adjustments to hearing aids—such as slightly increasing or reducing high- or low-frequency sounds—required users to schedule an appointment, endure traffic, and visit an audiology clinic in person. Unitron has fundamentally transformed this experience.
Unitron’s remote fine-tuning is based on a secure, encrypted connection between two primary platforms:
TrueFit Software (Audiologist Side):
The audiologist accesses the patient’s profile through the TrueFit fitting software using an internet connection.
Remote Plus Application (User Side):
The user installs the Remote Plus application on their smartphone, connects their hearing aids to the app, and submits feedback regarding their listening experience.
Process Workflow
User Request:
Through the Remote Plus app, the user submits a fine-tuning request and describes the listening environment and the specific issue encountered (for example: “whistling sound in quiet environments”).
Adjustment and Data Transmission:
The audiologist applies the necessary adjustments within the TrueFit software. The updated fitting settings are then packaged as a data file and securely transmitted to Unitron’s servers.
